This whole situation saddens me. Elena is only human, and she said something she didn’t mean out of anger. Like we all do. She was only trying to protect everyone she loves. She’s probably feeling guilty and sad.. and will most likely go to Damon to apologize, only to find out he’s slept with Rebekah. And Damon, my poor Damon. He’s been told all series long by her to stop denying his feelings, to quit pretending not to care. And here she is, the same girl telling him that it’s a problem. It’s very hard for him to trust anyone with his feelings. She is going to have to do something to get him to trust her again. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens between them in upcoming episodes.
